I made 110 Thanksgiving pies for Livin’ The Pie Life, so my food coma was profound…a combination of exhaustion, luscious smoked turkey and copious amounts of stuffing. But this morning, I awoke from 11 hours of sleep and remembered that it is time to make my Christmas Pudding.
So this is your Annual wake-up call. This weekend, pick up your ingredients and make your pudding so that when you feel like eating again…in about a month…you can have this delectable treat.
Remember why we love Christmas Pudding:
- Specialness
- Moistness
- Flavorfulness
- Deliciousness
- Hard Sauce
- You Get to Set It on Fire
Get thee to a supermarket!

Oh my! That’s a lot of pie! I was thinking about you as I made my 3 pies – pecan, apple, and pumpkin. I used fresh pumpkin from the garden this year. What a great idea! Yum! I also used a spiced crust recipe for the pecan and pumpkin which turned out amazing. One step ahead this year for the Christmas cake – I bought the ingredients while I was out shopping for Thanksgiving so i wouldn’t have to move after my food coma!
